Cricket - the referral system

I think the referral system in cricket needs a slight modification. In the few matches that it has been tried out, there have been a few batsmen who have gotten off the hook because the video evidence was inconclusive. I would suggest to cricket officials that they try out the NFL's referral system. According to the NFL referral system, if the video evidence is inconclusive, then the decision made by the referees (the umpires in our case) on the field (the ground in our case) stays. What say guys? Does that sound reasonable?
